Craving or living a flamboyant lifestyle isn’t such a bad idea, only when we have the resources to do so. Don’t rush it!
In same way, when we don’t have the resources to fund our big and extravagant lifestyle, we will end up destroying ourselves and those around us, because we chose the path of living an unusually flamboyant lifestyle.
A lot of us these days, wants to wear expensive clothes, carry expensive handbags, own expensive cars, wear expensive jewelries, own a house in one of the best cities in Nigeria, chill with the big boys, etc., yet, we don’t have the means to measure up to this flamboyant lifestyle we so much crave for.
The crave to live an unusually flamboyant lifestyle, has dragged lots of us with intelligent minds and promising future, into all sorts of crimes and unthinkable acts that is gradually eating and destroying our once promising and bright future.
Some of us get involve in crimes and acts like internet fraud, office fraud, marketing and selling fake products, bribery, kidnapping, ritual killings, armed robbery, hard drug deals, s*x with animals like dogs and monkeys, etc., just to acquire wealth to measure up to a level in the society where our presence will be felt and recognized by those around us and beyond.
In our quest for a flamboyant lifestyle, some of us have ended up gambling our lives, integrity, beautiful and promising future, we once had for a bleak and destructive future with no guarantee of peace.
Flamboyance or should I say a flamboyant lifestyle comes with its own price and sacrifices. It is okay to crave it, but what is not okay, is for us to think of all the wrong ways to achieve it.
There are so many disadvantages associated with living a lifestyle we can’t afford, and so much energy and time is needed to fake it till one makes it (that is, if it ever happens).
Some of these disadvantages are, never being able to find genuine happiness and friendship, always running out of funds and staying perpetually broke, borrowing from friends, family members and never being able to refund what we borrowed, some of us go as far as faking our identity, family background, etc. I can go on and on, as the list is endless and very time and energy consuming, all because we want to measure up to this so-called flamboyant lifestyle.
In my opinion, most of us that crave this flamboyant lifestyle, do so because we have low self-esteem (inferiority complex), we are not content with what we have, not satisfied with who we are and what we represent, etc. Well, I have this to say to us, WE WERE NOT BORN THE WAY WE WERE BORN AND INTO THE FAMILY WE WERE BORN INTO BY COINCIDENCE. we are in that family and situation for a purpose, let us learn to appreciate our situation, and work hard and smart to make it better, let’s not rush it, let us take it one step at a time.
A flamboyant lifestyle will come when we finally get to that level in our lives. Let’s not be in a rush, every good thing comes with its own patience, no one can force it nor make it happen before its appointed time.
Let’s save ourselves the trouble and embarrassment of being called a liar, a fake, etc. just because we want to be in the flamboyant lifestyle league. One big truth is, we won’t recover or overcome most of the reasons we decided to live this lifestyle, rather we will become worse, and our feelings completely shattered from what it was, before we took to the path of living a flamboyant lifestyle.
In conclusion, it is very apparent we consciously live a life of content with the determination to succeed in the nearest future, so that we can live that flamboyant lifestyle we so much crave. Be confident, don’t be in a rush, most of our friends or those we see up there, may be envious of our one-day-at-a-time lifestyle, without us knowing.
Living a life of Contentment is the cure for early death… Life of moderation… There will always be new things so why die to get stuff… Be content and live happily
Thank you very much for the timely contribution Peace

Thank you sis, I appreciate it! Thanks for the contribution.
Contentment has always been a watch word, those who don’t have it, have always lived a miserable life style which later leads to depression.
You are correct May sis, thank you for your contribution.
Greed is a wrathful vice that people don’t really talk about. We focus more on the outcome of greed forgetting that if we teach our younger ones contentment and hardwork, a lot will be curbed. The Love for money is truly the root of all evil. Because once you allow the love of money overshadow you, you are willing to do just anything to get it. Just few are willing to work the right way and work patiently. Everybody wants to become so rich all for show case, to flaunt luxury. Of course we all desire comfort but not on the expense of other people’s lives or sweat. Let’s strive to teach our younger ones more on the blessings of contentment, hardwork and patience. You can only have true peace when your wealth is legit. You can buy anything you want, but until then, keep moving, and never give up. DON’T RUSH IT
